Real-Time Data Capture
Oncore's highly flexible and configurable real-time data capture system provides a single point of entry for multiple stakeholders to input all cost and progress measures. Costs are collected as near as possible to their source providing clarity and granularity in information.
Oncore supports input and acquisition of Labor hours, Equipment hours, Materials usage and Expense charges as described below.
Labor
Labor is defined as an individual, or class of labor resource that is part of the Owner's or a Contractor's organization. These labor resources perform work against one or more Work Packages, defined within the overall
- Project WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
- Assign Labor resources (individual personnel) to User-defined labor classes.
- Associate Labor rates to labor classes.
- Enter Labor hours against Labor resources or classes manually or via file import.
- Automatically retrieve Labor hours from Time Clock Systems, and reconcile against recorded timesheet hours.
- Assign Labor hours to their respective WBS task items and Work Packages.
- Define Shifts to reflect the working schedule such as Day, Afternoon, Night, etc.
- Set Rates for multiple pay units such as Standard Time, Overtime, etc.
- Determine the cost of Labor on the basis of worked hours and the rate set for the respective labor class.
- Associate Work Items, which may have sub-items such as Equipment, Materials, or Expenses, to the individual for which hours are being reported.
- Group Labor resources into Workgroups.
- Schedule Workgroups as a unit.
Equipment
Equipment is defined as an entity utilized by a Labor resource and has an associated cost based on a rate applied per hour, per shift, per day, per week, or per month.
- Capture Equipment utilization hours and calculate equipment costs using rental rates for leased equipment, operating cost for owned equipment, etc.
- Equipment leasing or rental rates may be hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
- Assign equipment use to individual Laborers and/or specific Contractors.
- Add new or replacement equipment quickly and easily as required during the project.
- Identify equipment by Contractor, Make, Model, Ownership status, etc.
- Identify the Location, Activity Status, Manager, and Supplier of the equipment as needed.
- Assign User-defined parameters to effectively manage equipment utilization.
Materials
Materials are defined as entities that are consumed or installed in the delivery of work on a project. Materials are typically assigned a unit rate to calculate the total cost based on usage.
- Capture Materials, consumables and other indirect costs incurred in the execution of a Work Package.
- Materials can be associated to the work performed by Work Package to the Work Item level.
- Materials may be supplied by the Contractor during the execution of the work, or purchased by the Owner and free-issued to the Contractor as bulk items or major equipment purchases.
- Material costs are calculated and tracked based on consumption or usage during the course of the project.
- Track quantities and events, e.g. truckloads of gravel, pallets, trips to/from worksite, etc.
- Identify and track Materials by Supplier.
Expenses
Expenses are defined as costs incidental to, or in support of, the work performed on a project.
- Capture and track expenses incurred such as travel expenses, living out allowance, meals, etc.
- Manage expense costs in accordance with the Work Package and project structure, e.g. by Contractor, by Laborer, by Work Package, etc.
