Well Lifecycle Management - Wellcore :: Pipelines & Facilities
The Pipelines & Facilities module has been designed as a Corporate Pipeline System to handle all inventories of pipelines and facilities for a company, regardless of where they are in the world. To enable this, the system has been designed to handle multiple survey systems, including DLS, NTS, FPS, lat/long, GPS, Ontario Onshore and Ontario Offshore. The data model itself is open and was specifically created to enable third party reporting tools, including Crystal Reports and ESRI ArcInfo to connect to it and retrieve information.
Information captured and reported:
- Inventory of License, Line and Facility information
- Pipeline and Facility Specifications (OD, MOP, Substance, H2S Content, etc.)
- Corrosion Monitoring Information (was analysis performed, by who, what methods, when)
- Corrosion Mitigation Information (was pigging used, what method, by who, product used)
- Inline Inspection (which tool, vendor, who was responsible, when)
- Maintenance Information
- Associated Equipment
- Attached Pipelines / Wells
Business process functionality:
- Acquisitions, storing what was acquired according to a deal number and updating the database from that data.
- Divestitures, storing what were divested according to a deal number and moving pipelines to a "Sold" area within the database for historical purposes.
- Discrepancy reporting against a government database of pipelines to compare corporate versus government data. The purpose is to ensure the corporation is in compliance (specific to Alberta) with regulations.
- Government License Applications (G56) submittal and updating the database with newly licensed information
- Attaching pipelines together and to facilities for mapping purposes
- Attaching wells and other equipment to pipelines and facilities for mapping purposes
- Creation of "sub segments" based upon the location of wells and associated equipment in order to see a true view of the pipeline and its nodes.
