SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Decision Dynamics Technology Ltd. is looking for a diverse and exceptional individual to join our Sales team in Calgary.

The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for the ongoing development of new business and for growing and enhancing strategic client relationships within our existing major accounts. In this capacity, the Sales Account Executive will be working directly with our clients, services team, and senior management team to effectively sell our services and solutions.

The Sales Account Executive responsibilities will include those listed below.

 

Detailed Job Description

Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.

Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products/services.

Performs sales activities for strategic accounts to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives.

  • Contacts and visits accounts to determine needs.
  • Creates and performs sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs and address client issues and objections.
  • Sells products/services through face-to-face contact.
  • Remains knowledgeable of company's products/services to facilitate sales efforts.

 

Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction.

  • Maintains a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits.
  • Alerts clients to new or improved products/services.
  • Engages in relationship building and networking activities to develop additional sales opportunities.
  • Provides feedback to development team on customer requirements and business opportunities.
  • Works seamlessly with development, business architects and customer support team to ensure quality service delivery and effective implementation of products at customer sites.

 

Works with Sales Team to devise sales plans and strategies.

  • Develops account plans and sales strategies that will ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to determine effective sales techniques.
  • Determines ways to differentiate from competitors.
  • Develops and enhances business relationships with existing customers to maximize account penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • Assists marketing with design and promotional strategies.

 

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education specializing in engineering, procurement, or construction.
  • 10+ years of complex sales experience in software sales.
  • Established network of contacts in the operations side of oil & gas companies for sales opportunities.
  • Proven track record of success in prospecting and developing a territory/market.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience managing the complete sales cycle.
  • Superior written communication skills, including experience with proposal writing and presentation building.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Strong relationship building and networking skills.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, strong work ethic and passion for technology.
  • Ability to articulate the business value of technical solutions to all levels of an organization.
  • Applicants without a solid understanding of the oil and gas/energy business respectively and a proven track record of solution selling will not be considered.
